Power out for more than 1700 people in the Quesnel area

There are four separate areas in the Quesnel area that are without power according to the BC Hydro website.

BC Hydro Spokesperson Dave Mosure says the biggest one is just west of Quesnel…

“This outage impacts 1,424 customers.   The descriptor is west of Paley Place, and if I go into the map system it goes from roughly Bouchie Lake out to Nazko, so everything west of town.”

The power went out there at 2-51 pm and the reason is that there is a tree across the line.

There are also 310 people without power west of 10 Mile Lake Road and north of Elliot Road.

16 customers are in the dark west of the Barkerville Highway and there is a small outage on Maple Heights Road impacting 6 customers.
