UPDATE: Injuries from motor vehicle incident on Highway 20, not as serious as once believed

UPDATE

The motor vehicle incident occurred at Meldrum Creek Road, and Highway 20 is less severe than initially thought.

RCMP initially said that one person was believed to be seriously injured, but now report that the person only sustained minor injuries.

Police are still looking for a motorist who may have crashed their vehicle and fled the scene.

A motor vehicle incident at Meldrum Creek Road and Highway 20 occurred just after 11 this morning.

Williams Lake Staff Sargeant Del Byron says one person is believed to be seriously injured.

Police are no longer searching for a motorist who may have crashed their vehicle and fled the scene.
