October 31st will be firework free in 100 Mile House as the annual Halloween Town event will not run this year.
Lower attendance figures were a contributor but changing demographics and safety were key in the decision according to the South Cariboo Rec Center Facility Manager, Josh Dickerson.
Dickerson says he doesn’t feel that this year’s setback precludes the event from returning under a different banner.
