Great Night for Quesnel Bull Riders

Quesnel cowboys sit one-two in the Bull Riding after the opening performance of the BC Rodeo Finals at Alex Fraser Park in Quesnel.

Matt O’Flynn is first after an 83 on “Lunar” while Lane Cork was next with an 80.

Those were the only qualified rides.

Other local highlights included Wade McNolty of 150-Mile putting up the fastest time in the Steer Wrestling with a 4 and 9 and Cliff Schuck from Tatla Lake topped the Saddle Bronc with a 70.

Quesnel competitors dominated the junior events as Taylor Cherry won the Junior Barrel Racing, Dyson Leneve had the fastest time in the junior breakaway roping and Micah Gordon picked up 40 championship points in the Junior Steer Riding.

Performance number two goes this afternoon at 1 o’clock.
