Williams Lake City Councillor Surinderpal Rathor is running for Mayor.
Rathor, who has served on City Council for the past 21 years, filed his papers this afternoon.
Rathor says he has heard strongly how the community would like to see change.
Rathor says if elected he would like to see the Mayor and Councillors available to talk to the community when they request.
Rathor adds he would also like to continue use of Community Policing as a tool for reducing crime, focus on infrastructure renewal, restoring the Williams Lake Economic Development Corporation, and making scout island a “crown jewel”
Rathor is currently one of three mayoral Candidates in Williams Lake, which include Walt Cobb and John Bjornstrom.
