UPDATE: RCMP confirm accident on Quesnel-Hydraulic Road was a fatal

Quesnel RCMP have now confirmed that one person was killed in a single vehicle accident late Monday (May 25) afternoon.

Sergeant Richard Weseen says the driver was the lone occupant.

RCMP, BC Ambulance and the Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department were called to the 4000 block of Quesnel-Hydraulic Road at around 4-30.

Weseen says the vehicle left the road and flipped into the ditch before bursting into flames.

No other details are available at this time.

Quesnel RCMP and the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

RCMP, BC Ambulance and the Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident in the 4000 block of Quesnel-Hydraulic Road.

Sergeant Richard Weseen says it happened at around 4-30 in the afternoon…

“It was a single vehicle rollover.   The vehicle left the road, flipped into the ditch and then caught on fire.”

The road was closed for a few hours.
