Christmas cards mailing deadlines this week

Canada Post is reminding people about it’s holiday deadlines.

If you are sending Christmas cards to someone outside of BC, you have until Thursday to get them into a mailbox. Cards travelling within BC have until Friday while a local delivery will give you until the 21st.

The regular parcel deadline has already passed (Dec 11th), but Xpresspost will give procrastinators until December 22nd.

“Last year we delivered 36 million parcels between November and December, this year we are up 20% so we will see 42-3 million delivered through the holiday season.” Spokesperson John Caines said “This past weekend we delivered almost 2 million parcels across the country.”

Caines says the jump is due to the continued rapid growth in online shopping.
