It was the last night for Performances in the Park in Williams Lake Thursday evening.
Event Coordinator Angela Sommer says the turnout this year was the best she’s ever seen.
“We had 500 plus people in the park every single week; the weather’s been great so that helped tremendously and the bands were really nice too this year.”
“So all around it was a really, really good turnout, really good performances.”
Sommer says planning for next year’s performances in the park, will start around October.
“We’re starting again with fundraising of course and then we’re going to go and send out a call for submission to get artists to apply to perform next summer and we’re set to go.”
“I have the dates already for next year.”
Sommer says although of people have been asking for the Performances to be held more than once a week, it always comes to the issue of funding.
