CNC instructor and National Firearms Association President announces candidacy in Cariboo-Prince George Riding

Another name has entered the ring in the fight for the Cariboo Prince George riding.

Sheldon Clare announced today he would be running as an independent.

“My roots in this community are very deep, my roots in this region are very deep. People know me, they know my work with the National Firearms Association, I’m currently the President. People know if they want something done I’m the guy to call.”

Clare says his family moved to the area in 1930. He is currently an instructor at CNC (College of New Caledonia).

He says he plans on bringing non-partisan representation to the region.

“I think as an independent candidate I can work with all parties on issues that of benefit to Cariboo Prince George while not supporting issues in the interest of the riding.”

Some of those issues include economic diversification, veterans affairs, and the environment. Clare is also a strong supporter of door to door Canada Post delivery service and describes himself as a “fiscal conservative.”
