A furniture store in Williams Lake will officially be a mall store on Thursday.
Brick Store Manager, David Mairs says they will be holding a soft opening at Boitanio Mall from 9 to 9.
“We’re all really, really excited about it because of the chance to get extra traffic-a lot of people didn’t even know we even existed in our old location. Being here is just going to be phenomenal you know with the parking with everything.”
Mairs says their Grand re-opening will take place in September.
He was tight-lipped if other stores will be following suit and if anything will be happening to their Mackenzie Avenue North location.
“We’ve heard rumors and that’s all I’m allowed to say about other stores already trying to get in here (Boitanio Mall) because we’ve moved in,” he says.
“I know there’s been a couple of offers as to what’s going to happen to it and who’s going to buy it out, but nothing is concrete or anything like that. That’s all up to the other landlord there too.”
Mairs says they are hiring an additional 6 to 7 positions including warehouse and sales.
The Brick replaces the former Zellers.
