Man wanted on Canada Wide Warrant sighted in Bouchie Lake

A parole violator who was initially believed to be in the North Cariboo has now been sighted in the Quesnel area.

Staff Sgt. Andrew Burton says they received a call Wednesday morning from a resident in Bouchie Lake who was checking on his father’s abandoned property.

Burton says police dog teams from Prince George and Williams Lake were brought in as well as a helicopter from Kamloops.

He says they, along with Quesnel RCMP, searched for several hours but failed to locate Mclean.

Burton says the search continues and they are asking anyone in that area who sees Mclean or notices anything suspicious to call them.

He says people are advised not to approach him.

A Canada Wide Warrant was issued for the 46-year old McLean after he failed to return to a halfway house in the Vancouver area back in May.

McLean, who has been charged with violent offences, is described as a Caucasian male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds.

He has green eyes and tattoos on both upper arms.
