Williams Lake RCMP confirms that they responded to a report of mischief in progress to a business located at Boitanio Mall Tuesday evening.
Police say they received a report of a male suspect smashing windows of an Easyhome truck in the parking lot at 11:50 pm.
A male suspect was arrested.
RCMP say although the alarms a neighboring business (Staples) did go off and the doors were cracked the suspect did not gain entry.
In a separate and unrelated incident meanwhile at 11:04 pm, police attended to a report of an individual waiting outside the Overland Pub parking lot.
Police say the victim was approached by a First Nations male who punched him in the head and made away with his backpack containing fruits and veggies, a baby bottle with milk, and seizure medication.
The suspect was arrested, although another First Nations male and one female who were with the suspect had fled.
Police continue to investigate both incidents.
