As sweltering temperatures continue across the Cariboo, Interior Health confirms a part on one of two A/C units at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake has failed.
This means that only one A/C unit is cooling the facility and temperatures will vary in some areas of the facility.
Interior Health says a replacement part has been ordered.
The part is expected to arrive on Wednesday, July 15th and is scheduled to be installed on Thursday.
There has been no impact to patient or staff safety according to Interior Health.
A source shared with us that it was 29 degrees in the ER and said it was unbearable on the 4th floor.
