NDP Outraged by Tory MP’s Spending in Cariboo-Prince George

Dick Harris’s 500,000 dollar bill to taxpayers requires explanation and justification.

At least according to the NDP candidate for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, Bill Sundhu

Sundhu is outraged by the expenses incurred by not only Harris, but by fellow conservative MP’s Chris Warkentin (Peace River), and John Duncan (Vancouver Island North).

It is yet another indication of a governing conservative party that appears to be out of touch, arrogant, and self entitled. Mr. Harris’ travel expenses seem exorbitant. He is not a cabinet minister with extra travel expenses and Prince George is not a remote location. It is well served by airlines

Sundhu points out that four of the five highest spending MP’s in the province are Tories.

Explanation or not, Harris will be retiring from politics to an annual pension of over 120,000 dollars this fall after twenty-two years in office.
