One Adult, One Youth Charged in Shoppers Drug Mart Robbery

Update by R Dyok: A 22-year-old man and a youth are facing charges following a robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart in Williams Lake.

RCMP responded to the incident Monday after 3:30 pm.

Che Wyatt Johnny has been charged with robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He appeared in Williams Lake Provincial Court Tuesday for a bail hearing.

The BC Prosecution Service confirmed the co-accused is a young person and is before the Williams Lake youth court with their next appearance on Wednesday, June 12.

The new store located on Oliver Street was temporarily closed while police investigated.

No one was harmed.

Shoppers Drug Mart in Williams Lake was the scene of a robbery earlier this (Monday) afternoon.

Police responded to the call just after 3:30 and have two people in custody.
