Aboriginal Day to Be Celebrated in Williams Lake, Quesnel

National Aboriginal Day is slated to take place tomorrow with local celebrations taking place in both Williams Lake and Quesnel.

It’s a day to share culture and celebrate the contributions of First Nations people in the development of Canada says tribal chair of the Tsilhqot’in nation, Chief Joe Alphonse:

“It’s a day to share our culture and our experiences with the rest of society around Williams Lake. Its an honour to have an aboriginal day and its a proud day for a lot of us.”

Boitanio Park in the Lake City and Lebourdais Park in Quesnel play host when the festivities get started at 10am
