Sisters in Williams Lake Sentenced for Drug Trafficking

The Williams Lake RCMP say two Williams Lake residents have been sentenced for drug trafficking offences.

RCMP received information regarding a drug trafficking ring that was active in the Lake City in February of 2014.

A thorough investigation was conducted and warrants obtained to search two residences on 2nd Avenue North.

Arrests were made and charges of trafficking crack cocaine as well as other charges were laid against Janese Louie and her sister Janette Billy.

WL Residents Charged

The value of the drugs was $7,000.00 as well as $1,600.00 in cash seized.

Billy pled guilty to Possession for the purpose of trafficking as well as other criminal charges and sentenced to 6 months in jail.

Louie also pled guilty to a number charges appearing in Kamloops court where she was sentenced to 24 months year in jail.
