Big funds raised despite low turnout at Williams Lake ALS Walk

Low turnout did not stop those who came out to the Williams Lake ALS walk on Saturday from donating big.

Walk-coordinator Eileen Campbell says about $25,000 was raised through the 4th annual event.

“So our final numbers won’t come in until you know ALS BC pulls all of our things together and whatever, but that’s what we can tell from here.  We feel around $25,000 was raised.”

“We’re thrilled about that.”

Campbell says they are hoping for individuals to reach out to them and brainstorm ideas to make their number of participants grow for next year’s Walk.
