The Cariboo Regional District has appointed two fire chiefs in the South Cariboo.
As of April 1st, Terry Murphy continue as chief of the Lac la Hache Volunteer Fire Department, and Chris Haddad will be taking over as chief of the 108 Mile Ranch department.
Area G director Al Richmond says Chief Murphy is returning as chief to the department, while Chief Haddad will be taking over from Ian Henderson, who completed the term of former 108 Chief Marcelle Reid. The departments recently held the elections for the positions.
The Chiefs term is for three years.
