2008 Williams Lake Homicide Still Unsolved

RCMP in Williams Lake are hoping the public will reach out to help solve a decade old homicide case.

Lead investigator Cpl. Ken Davies said Gerald Supernault was reported missing on August 22, 2008, with ground and aerial searches having yielded negative results.

Supernault’s body was located on October 5, 2008, on the Sugarcane Reserve south of Williams Lake

“Autopsy results confirmed that Gerald had been murdered,” Davies said.

“It has now been over a decade since Gerald was murdered. It’s important that the person or persons responsible for his murder is to be held accountable for their actions.”

Supernault who was 37 years old at the time is believed to have last been seen on Aug. 7 or 8, 2008.

Davies said they are hoping that a province-wide Crime Stoppers re-enactment that airs Saturday, March 23 on Global TV will put it back before the people and hopefully somebody will come forward.

“They’re aware of the efforts that are on-going,” Davies said of Supernault’s family.

“I know they have done a lot themselves. As you can imagine it doesn’t get any easier for them.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
