Lots Of Feedback For The CRD’s Library Survey

The numbers are in and now the sorting begins.

This past fall the Cariboo Regional District was seeking input from the public through their “Reimagine Your Library” campaign.

CRD Manager of Communications, Emily Epp said this was one of the best surveys for results.

“In total we had 1330 people complete the survey and 119 did short in-person surveys with our library staff. We also had great engagement on our Question of the Week series,” Epp said.

“We posed a question each week on displays in the area libraries and our social media channels and we received 1758 poll responses and 182 comments in response”.

Epp added that this was one of their best surveys for results.

“We have done some surveys in the past on different topics and this is definitely up there in the top two of the most feedback we have ever gotten so we had great results and it really did cover the range of all our different libraries which is great”.

The Library Services Manager along with librarians from 100 Mile House, Williams Lake, and Quesnel will now sort through the feedback received, group them into key themes, then present it to the board for adoption.

The survey was part of the development of the CRD’s strategic plan to provide direction and focus for the development of library services and inform future business plans and budgets for the library network.
