A trial, in connection with an alleged drive-by shooting in Quesnel, has now wrapped up in Supreme Court.
Justice R.Tindale has reserved his decision following a trial that lasted around 2 1/2 weeks.
29-year old Robert Mike Mero and 30-year old Kale Raymond Comeau will now learn their fate on Oct. 9.
Final arguments were heard today.
Much of the Crown’s case is based on wiretap evidence from cell phones and testimony from the woman of the house that was allegedly shot at.
The Defense questioned the credibility of the witness and maintains that none of the cell phone evidence is conclusive.
One example of this is when Mero, according to the Crown, told someone to “go get a team together.”
The Defense says there is no evidence that a team was ever formed or if it was who was on it.
Mero and Comeau are charged with Discharging a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life and with Pointing a Firearm.
The charges are in connection with an incident back on June 2nd of 2012, when Quesnel RCMP say they responded to a report of shots fired just after 4 am in the 400 block of Hartley Street.
Police say further investigation revealed that multiple gunshots were fired at a residence.
No one was hurt but RCMP says that the bullets pierced the window and exterior walls of the building.
