Williams Lake RCMP look for stabbing suspect

RCMP in Williams Lake are attempting to identify a person responsible for a stabbing on Sunday.

RCMP say they responded to a complaint of a disturbance on in the 900 block of Western Ave at 6:34 p.m.

Initially, it is believed that two women were fighting out front of a residence.

During the fight, a group of people came out of a nearby residence and attacked one of the men who was with one of the women involved in the fight.

One of the attackers punched the victim in the face, stabbed him twice, and then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital and is currently in stable condition.

RCMP say the parties involved are well known to police.
