Is Spring Finally About To Get Sprung In The Cariboo ?

So far the temperatures for March haven’t been typical for the first 11 days, or has it?
That’s the question we asked Environment Canada Meteorologist Armel Castellan who summed it up in two words “definitely not”.
“It has been averaging below minus ten the average mean temperature so far this month so really picked up where February left off. If you compare that to what it should be which is just over zero degrees for March we’re certainly trending very low”.
Castellan said today Williams Lake and Quesnel should see a couple of flurries and then a very dry pattern will move into the Cariboo by Thursday with temperatures starting to creep up to more seasonable averages, perhaps even 10 degrees by Sunday.
Castellan went on to say that pattern should stick around in the Cariboo for another week or so, all the way through to the following weekend and that it doesn’t look like anything major is going to change so we’re finally catching up to normal spring conditions across much of the Province.
