Two fires in the South Cariboo kept crews busy yesterday afternoon.
100 Mile House Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a fire at the Parkview Apartments on Cedar Avenue
Fire chief Roger Hollander says the fire was located in the outside stairwell. Firefighters put the fire out quickly with with extinguishers.
Hollander says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Later in the afternoon, the Lone Butte Fire Department attended a residential structure fire near Ryall Road.
The department made a mutual aid request to 100 Mile and 108 fire departments for manpower and water support. 100 Mile Fire/Rescue says all the agencies worked well together to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries among the residents or firefighters, but the structure was a loss.
