Burnaby Based Company Acquires Chances Signal Point

One of Canada’s largest and most diversified gaming companies has acquired Chances Signal Point in Williams Lake.

The day to day operations have now been taken over by Burnaby based Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited.

Director of public relations, Tanya Gabara said they’re excited to dig in and get to know their new staff members, their new property, and the community at large.

“Customers shouldn’t really notice a difference to the day to day experience,” she said.

“Obviously we’re really focused right now on the actual transition of the operation and the employees to Gateway, and then after that, we start to look at where we can enhance the property and the experience for both our staff and our guests.”

Gabara said with the roughly 45 employees at Signal Point in Williams Lake joining the Gateway Team, Gateway has over 8,600 employees across the country.

Gateway now owns 27 properties in B.C, Alberta, and Ontario.

“Gateway has a program called ‘Gateway Gives’ which is our corporate giving program and community engagement so we’re absolutely looking forward to learning what Signal Point has done in the past and hopefully enhance that into the future,” Gabara said of Signal Point Gaming’s annual Festival of Trees.
