The 25th annual Business Excellence Awards and Citizen of the Year celebration took place Saturday night at the 100 Mile House Community hall.
MLA Donna Barnett presented the Citizen of the year award to Maureen Adams. Since moving to the area in 1967, Maureen Adams has volunteered with many local groups including the Red Cross, Millsite Cottage and Lodge, the Boy Scouts, the SPCA and Fisher Place.
The annual South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce awards was a full house, featured entertainment by magician Murray Hatfield.
