Quesnel Relay for Life to Take Place

Quesnel’s 14th annual Relay for Life event is set for tomorrow in Lebourdais Park.
It starts off with a survivor’s ceremony at 10 a.m. and will go right through until 10 at night.
Ray Kinloch, the Team Development Coordinator, says there are 18 teams this year.
But he says you don’t have to be on a team to take part…
“Come on down and walk a few laps in celebration of your victory over cancer or in support of someone who has passed away or is actively fighting.”
Kinloch says there will be entertainment on the stage all day as well as lots of food on site.
He says their goal this year is to raise 90 thousand dollars for Cancer research and to help families fight the disease.
More than 60-thousand dollars has been raised to date.
