Pride Flag to Fly in Lebourdais Park at First Quesnel Pride Parade

The Gay Pride Parade flag won’t fly at City Hall but it will fly in Lebourdais Park during Quesnel’s first ever gay pride parade next month.
Quesnel City Council tackled the issue at this week’s meeting.
Councillor Ron Paul is the Chair of the Police and Bylaw Committee…
“The Policy and Bylaw Review Committee recommends to council that in light of Quesnel Pride Parade ending in Lebourdais Park on June 6th with a BBQ and live music, that the Quesnel Pride flag be flown on the centre flag pole of the Friendship Stage located in Lebourdais Park.”
A 2nd motion also passed to consider a flagpole in the 2016 capital budget that would be installed in Lebourdais Park in a highly visible location, for community groups to use when requesting their flag to be flown for special community events.
