Drivers Not Heeding Road Conditions Factors in Collisions

100 Mile House RCMP say deteriorating weather and road conditions, and drivers failing to slow down and drive according to conditions were major factors in a rash of vehicle incidents over the last week.

Incidents on February 19 included a collision between two southbound semis in Lac La Hache and a car losing control near Trout Drive. There were no injuries in the Lac la Hache collision, but the driver of the Trout Drive vehicle was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Friday, Feb. 22 saw another rash of collisions and incidents including a single vehicle rollover near Lac la Hache.

The driver was not injured. Four vehicles slid off Canim Hendrix road during the day, one incident resulted in the driver being treated for minor injuries.

RCMP remind drivers to slow down and take the road conditions into account when winter driving.
