A suspicious white truck created quite a stir in the South Cariboo yesterday afternoon.
100 Mile House RCMP say they were told by a homeowner that the truck was seen going in and out of driveways in the Bissett Road area in Buffalo Creek.
Photos of the suspect vehicle, as well as descriptions of the suspects, tire tracks, and footwear impressions, were also posted online.
RCMP S/Sgt. Sven Nielsen says police made contact with the truck owner who told them that they were looking for a residence of a family member who was renting in that area without knowing the house number.
Nielsen says further investigation, including talking to the family member, confirmed those details.
While there was nothing wrong going on in this case, Nielsen is quick to point out that RCMP appreciates the quick actions of the homeowner to contact them immediately, and encourages other members of the public to do the same if they see anything suspicious in their area.
