Battle Of The Cariboo Starts Saturday

Round one of the best of three C-I-H-L play-offs get underway this Saturday night.

The Williams Lake Stampeders will host the Quesnel Kangaroos, a team Head Coach Dave Lauzon says always plays them tough.

“We’ve had a tight battle all year with these guys so I’m looking for the exact same thing in the playoffs. A hard-fought game, every time we played these guys it’s the same thing, it’s a good thing, it’s good for the fans, it’s fun to play, it’s fun to watch.”

And with some new faces in the lineup, we asked Stamps Head Coach, Dave Lauzon, how are they fitting in

“We had a good trip up to Rupert so I got a feeling that we’re going to gel as good as we can gel. It’s a close-knit bunch of guys that have known each other for a long time and a good mix of guys from out of town, lots of talent and hopefully, we can show that Saturday night.”

Game one will be played this Saturday night at 7:30 at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex then the series will shift to Quesnel for game two Saturday February 16th and game three if necessary on Sunday February 17th.
