Busy Day for 100 Mile Area Fire Departments

Lone Butte Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Horse Lake Road in the 6100 Block Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Chief Jon Grieve says that one structure was involved and an adjoining structure was threatened. They called 100 Mile Fire/rescue through a mutual aid agreement to assist. 100 mile Fire chief Roger Hollander says “Our crews were able to get inside and stop it from spreading to the next mobile home that was attached so that one was untouched and remained intact which was our objective.”

Both structures were unoccupied at the time.

100 Mile Fire/rescue also responded to an accident involving a semi on Exeter Station road last night. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 pm. Fire/Rescue was first on the scene. One person was taken to hospital, and there are no further details available.
