Quesnel RCMP confirms that an overdue hunter who was reported missing on Wednesday has been found alive and well.
Vance Hartley walked out of the bush near Cottonwood on Highway 26 Thursday evening at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The RCMP would like to thank all of the volunteers who assisted in the search for Hartley as well as members of the community who provided information to assist in the search.
Sgt. Darren Dodge reminds hunters and hikers to leave directions and/or information regarding where they intend to travel and an expected time of return.
As well, plan for all eventualities by ensuring that proper clothing and extra food and water are carried in case of an unexpected delay.
