Shots fired at Williams Lake Residence

Update: Four residents in the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue North in Williams Lake received quite a scare early this morning.

RCMP say they received two separate calls that gunshots were fired at the residence at 1:17 and 1:22 a.m.

Fortunately, no one inside the residence was hurt.

Police say the suspects fled the area in an Interiors Road yellow pickup truck with black writing on the side.

A vehicle matching that description was then located abandoned near the powerline in the Esler Sub Division, just west of the city.

Police say had they received a report at around 5:30 that the vehicle had been stolen from an employee’s residence.

There is no motive behind the shooting at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Williams Lake RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Original Story: Williams Lake RCMP confirm that 7 shots were fired at a residence on this morning.

RCMP say they received two separate reports at 1:17 am and 1:22 am that gunshots were heard coming from a residence on the 1100 block of 2nd Ave North.

Sgt. Rick Lebeuf says there were four residents in the home at the time and they did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect made away on an Interior Roads vehicle which RCMP believe was stolen.
