UBC students continue to collect information on transportation needs from Lake City residents

It will be day three tomorrow for UBC students in Williams Lake collecting information on transportation needs.

Maeghan O’Neill, who is 1 of 4 students working on the project which is part of a field geography course, says they have already received some interesting information.

“There have been some general comments about bus sizes being too large and maybe some changes in bus stops…things like that.”

“It’s been really interesting so far actually. Definitely some really constructive feedback and we’re looking forward to getting some more.”

The students who will be in the Lake City until Friday, have also launched an online survey.

Paper copies of the survey are available at the Williams Lake Library or Williams Lake Indian Band Office.

O’Neill says they will be delivering their findings to the Social Planning Council and also outline any problems they may find to BC Transit.
