100 Mile House: Speeding and driving under the influence top charges during check stops

It was speeding and driving under the influence for suspects receiving charges this past week following a number of high-visibility traffic check stops by the 100 Mile RCMP and Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services.

Sargent Don McLean says a driver in the 108 Mile Ranch, who was speeding was also confirmed to be prohibited from driving.

He’s to appear in Court on June 9th.

Two separate drivers meanwhile are also scheduled to make court appearances.

A 70-year-old male Lone Butte resident was observed speeding and driving under the influence on Highway 24, with a Kamloops resident also observed to be speeding and driving under the influence on Highway 97.

RCMP say they responded to 60 complaints and calls for service last week.
