The Crime Fighters, a team of police officers in Quesnel, held a fundraiser yesterday offering buzz cuts and burgers to anyone with a crisp $20 in their pocket.

Community giving coordinator, Erin Reynolds, explains the role of the Canadian Cancer Society and how important it is in fighting cancer.

Reynolds goes on in explaining why fundraisers like Relay for Life are so critical.

Quesnel’ s relay for life takes place May 30th in Lebourdais Park and not including yesterday s fundraiser has already raised over $7,000 of its $90,000 goal.

Williams Lake will not host an event this year, but 100 Mile House is still slated for a June 13th date set in Centennial Park.
