The South Cariboo Search and Rescue took part in a unique training exercise which is held every two years, over the weekend.
Society President, Mark Seilis says numerous individuals from Prince George to Nelson and the Island, took part in the Southern Interior Rope Exercise (SIRE).
“They set-up a number of stations that kind of highlight various kinds of problems you might encounter in the field and work through some of the various  ways that you could organize an operation to recover an injured person or a stuck person as it were, maybe on a cliff or something like that.”
“It really allows us to explore some of the various ways we could address situations like that.”
The weekend exercise was organized and hosted by the Wells Gray Search and Rescue in Clearwater.
