Pioneer Log Homes presented Key to the Cariboo-Chilcotin

An award to acknowledge the contribution of an individual, group or organization that furthers the ideals of the Cariboo Regional District at a provincial, national, or international level was presented on Friday.

Al Richmond, Chair of the Cariboo Regional District, says it was important to honor Pioneer Log Homes’ continued support and promotion of the region by presenting them the Key to the Cariboo-Chilcotin.

“They helped us with our event in that we had in 2006 at the Olympics in Vancouver and then came back up to help us with the work that we did at the Canada Winter Games in Prince George this past winter.”

“We thought that they really deserved, given the promotion for the Cariboo-Chilcotin when we really need that type of promotion; they’re either bringing good-will to our area, highlighting the benefits of our area, the beauty of our area, and we can do with our natural resources.”

Manager of Pioneer Log Homes, and one of the stars of HGTV’s Timber Kings, Andre Chevigny had accepted the Key.
