Earth Day clean-ups scheduled

Clean-ups are scheduled to take place across the City of Williams Lake in part of today’s Earth Day.

Lieutenant William Sheridan says the Royal Canadian Army Corps will be participating this evening.

“We’re going to be on the grounds at Scout Island. We are going to be cleaning up garbage, helping the Naturalist Society cleaning up some garden waste, making everything look nice and neat for the upcoming summer season.”
A clean-up meanwhile will be taking place at the Williams Lake Dairy Fields in front of the Williams Lake Senior Village from 12:30 until 2:30.

Individuals wishing to participate are asked to bring their own pair of gloves.
