McLeod Supports Changes to Gun Laws

The federal government enacted the Common Sense Firearms Licensing Act through Bill C-42 this past week, making several amendments aimed at cutting red tape around legal firearms possession.

MP for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, Cathy McLeod supports what Bill C-42 stands for and explains her take on the new law

It’s a good piece of legislation says McLeod, who points out one of her favourite details in the Bill

The changes would also see a streamlining of the licensing system to eliminate possession-only-licenses in favour of the possession and acquisition license as well as make classroom time mandatory for first-time license applicants.
