Knife Wielding Incident Lands Man in Court

An incident in 100 Mile House has landed a man in court today.

The 25 year old from Abbotsford was arrested Wednesday evening after residents called in a complaint that he was yelling and screaming out at the 500 block of Birch Avenue

When police attempted to talk to him, he allegedly got belligerent and abusive towards the officers before trying to leave the area.

According to R-C-M-P, he then produced a knife and threatened the officers before walking, weapon in hand, to Horse Lake Road where additional police were waiting with pepper spray.

Once incapacitated, the man was disarmed and taken into custody

He appeared today before a judge in Williams Lake on charges of Breach of Probation and Possession of a Weapon
