Huber fights for heavyweight title

Just 20 days after defeating Aaron Downey in a unanimous decision, local boxer Ken “Heavy-hands” Huber enters the ring again with another belt on the line.

The former Canim Lake resident will be aiming to add the provincial heavyweight belt to his cruiserweight title when he fights “Big” Bob Larson tomorrow in Langley.

Huber didn’t intend to be back in the ring so quickly, but the appeal of holding two belts was too much to pass up

According to Huber, his opponent is said to be a much fitter heavyweight, capable of lasting longer into fights.

Huber enters Friday’s bout with a 28-5 amateur record.
