Information Sessions on Proposed Pool Renovations Start Today

As discussions of an aquatic center are making big waves in 100 Mile House, the first open house on the Sam Ketcham Swimming Pool begins.

The Cariboo Regional District and City of Williams Lake will be hosting a series of public information sessions regarding the upcoming Sam Ketcham Pool Renovations and Upgrades Referendum.

The first session will take place tonight at the Gibraltar Room from 4 to 7 pm.

Further open house sessions will take place as follows:

Saturday, September 13- 150 Mile House Community Hall-1-2pm

Saturday, September 13- Area E Town Hall Open House- Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Club- 1-3pm

Monday, September 15- Area D Town Hall Open House- Wildwood Volunteer Fire Hall- 5-7pm

Wednesday, September 17- City of Williams Lake Town Hall Open House- CRD Boardroom- 5-7pm

Voters will be asked if they approve borrowing up to 10 million dollars over the next 20 years for the pool project, on November 15th.

‘Roos game to still go on despite afternoon fire at West Fraser Centre

Truck fire the cause of grassland fire near 100 Mile House ice rink

A truck caught fire on Wrangler Way in 100 Mile House, that spread onto the nearby grass, creating a wildland fire. 100 Mile House Fire Department was able to contain the blaze quickly, and report no one was injured.
