A Quesnel athlete is a national champion.
Bazil Spencer won the high jump in the under-18 division at the National Youth Track & Field Championships in Brandon, Manitoba.
Spencer was the only one who topped 2 meters.
His official winnning jump was 1.98 meters.
He then made 2.01 for a personal best.
