Cops For Cancer Jail and Bail Wraps Up

The Cops for Cancer Jail and Bail wrapped up this afternoon in Williams Lake.
Corporal Chris Romanchych says there was fantastic turnout for the event.
“We had twenty-one people who went into our mock jail…the preliminary totals, as of right now, are about $16,000 raised for the Canadian Cancer Society.”
Romanchych adds a big thank-you to Williams Lake in supporting this yearly event and says if you were unable to contribute, there are still many ways you can help.
“One way is to go down to the Canadian Cancer Society office and make a donation in person…the other way is to go online and search Cops for Cancer Tour de North and you can make a team donation or you can pick out a rider and make a specific donation to a rider.”
Romanchych, is one of 5 riders from the Williams Lake RCMP detachment participating in Cops for Cancer Tour de North.
The 850-kilometer road bike from Prince George to Prince Rupert starts on Friday.
