Quesnel Murder Suspect Makes Video Appearance In Court

A 32-year old Quesnel man, charged with Murder and Attempted Murder, appeared in provincial court today.

Kristopher Edward Leclair appeared by video and his next appearance will be on August 14th.

He remains in custody and at this point is not seeking bail.

Leclair is the accused in the death of a 48-year old man and the serious assault of a 52-year old woman.

Quesnel RCMP say they received a report of several stabbings at a residence on Hilborn Road back on July 21st.

Police say a male was found deceased at the scene and the woman, at last report, was still in critical condition in hospital.

The victim’s names have not been released.
