UPDATED: A fire broke out in the wood yard of Norbord’s 100 Mile House OSB plant July 28th.
Fire Chief Roger Hollander says that the fire was called in at approximately 11 Pm. When they arrived they found several piles of OSB in flames 50 by 80 feet in size.
100 Mile House Fire/Rescue requested assistance from 108 Mile Ranch Fire Department who quickly responded. A total of 17 firefighters were on scene. The fire was contained and extinguished by 930 Sunday morning.
There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
