Williams Lake Man Sentenced For Double Assault In Prince George

A Williams Lake man won’t spend any time behind bars, despite being found guilty in connection with two assaults in Prince George.

Trevor Alexis was guilty of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Assault and Mischief under $5,000 and was sentenced to 12 months probation.

He also received a lifetime firearms prohibition.

Charges of Assault with a Weapon and Aggravated Assault were stayed.

Prince George RCMP were called for an assault in progress back on August 7th of last year and while en route to that call they received another report of a possible stabbing in the same area.

Police say the first incident involved a female who was not hurt, but had the tires on her vehicle slashed.

A 31-year old male, the reason for the second call, was taken to hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

A suspect was arrested a day later in Agassiz.

RCMP say the suspect and the female were known to each other.
